What is ZKsync?
ZKsync (ZK) is the governance token of ZKsync, an Ethereum layer-2 network built by Matter Labs. It uses zero-knowledge proofs to bundle many transactions into a compact proof posted to Ethereum, lowering fees while inheriting Ethereum's security.
ZKsync Era supports native account abstraction and is the base for the Elastic Network, a group of connected ZK chains built with the ZK Stack. The ZK token was airdropped in June 2024 and is used for governance through the ZKsync Token Assembly and other bodies.
