What is Trading volume?
The total value of a coin bought and sold over a period, usually the last 24 hours.
Volume measures activity. High volume means many buyers and sellers, which usually makes it easier to trade without moving the price. Very low volume relative to market cap is a warning sign: the price may rest on a handful of trades.
Volume can be inflated. Some exchanges and token issuers trade with themselves (wash trading) to look busy. Volume spread across several well-known exchanges is more trustworthy than volume concentrated on one obscure venue.
