What is Arweave?
Arweave (AR) is a decentralized storage network designed to keep data permanently. Instead of paying a monthly fee, users pay once to store a file, and that payment funds an endowment meant to cover storage costs for hundreds of years.
Arweave launched in 2018 and uses a consensus method called proof of access, where miners must prove they can reach old data to create new blocks. It is widely used to store NFT media, archives and website front-ends. The team has also built AO, a computing layer on top of Arweave for running large numbers of programs in parallel.
