What is Flux?
Flux (FLUX) is the native token of Flux, a decentralized cloud computing network that began as ZelCash in 2018 and was renamed Flux in 2021. The network is made up of thousands of independently run FluxNodes that host websites, applications and other workloads through the FluxOS operating system.
FLUX is a mineable proof-of-work coin using the ZelHash algorithm, a variant of Equihash. It is used to pay for computing resources, must be locked as collateral to run a FluxNode, and rewards both miners and node operators. The ecosystem also includes the Zelcore wallet and products for AI and cloud hosting.
