What is USDu?
USDu (USDU) is a yield-bearing stablecoin issued by Unitas Labs that aims to stay worth one US dollar. According to the issuer, it is fully backed by cash and short-term US Treasury instruments held with regulated custodians, and reserve levels are published on-chain so anyone can check them.
Minting and redemption are limited to verified counterparties that have passed KYC checks, but once issued, USDu can move freely between wallets, exchanges and DeFi apps, mainly on Solana with versions on BNB Chain. It is designed to work as a dollar settlement asset that also passes on yield from its reserves.
