What is Xertra?

Xertra (STRAX), formerly known as Stratis, is a blockchain platform first launched in 2016 by a UK-based team. It was designed to help businesses build and run blockchain applications using C# and the .NET framework, which are widely used in enterprise software, and it offered tools for launching private and sidechain networks.

The original chain was based on Bitcoin's code rewritten in C#. The project later migrated from STRAT to the STRAX token, added smart contract support and moved to proof-of-stake, and has since rebranded as Xertra. STRAX is used for transaction fees, staking and running masternodes.
