Stargate Finance (STG) is a cross-chain bridge and liquidity protocol launched in 2022. It is built on LayerZero, a messaging protocol that lets blockchains communicate.

Stargate lets users move native assets, such as stablecoins and ETH, between many chains in one step, drawing on shared liquidity pools on each chain so the transfer is final once confirmed. Liquidity providers earn fees from these transfers. STG is used for governance through vote-escrowed staking and to reward liquidity providers.
