What is NOVA?

NOVA (SN68) is the alpha token of subnet 68 on Bittensor, a decentralized network where specialised subnets reward participants for producing useful machine-learning work. The subnet is operated by Metanova Labs and is aimed at decentralized science, using AI to search for and evaluate candidate molecules for drug discovery.

On the subnet, miners submit results for the tasks set by the subnet and validators score them, with NOVA rewards distributed according to those scores. As with other Bittensor alpha tokens, SN68 can be obtained by staking TAO into the subnet's pool, and its value depends on demand for that particular subnet.
