MegaUSD (USDM) is the native US dollar stablecoin of MegaETH, a high-speed layer-2 network for Ethereum. It was developed in partnership with Ethena.
USDM is backed mainly through Ethena's USDtb, which is in turn backed by tokenized US Treasury funds. The yield from those reserves is meant to help cover the costs of running MegaETH, allowing low transaction fees. It is intended to be the main dollar for payments and DeFi on the network.
