What is Fogo?

Fogo (FOGO) is the native token of Fogo, a layer-1 blockchain designed for high-speed on-chain trading. It is compatible with the Solana Virtual Machine and uses a client based on Firedancer, the high-performance validator software developed by Jump Crypto.

To reduce delays, Fogo uses a curated set of validators that can be grouped close together geographically, and it plans built-in price feeds and an integrated exchange. FOGO pays transaction fees, is staked by validators and is used for ecosystem incentives.
