Cap (CAP) is the governance token of Cap, a lending protocol built around its own digital dollar, cUSD. The reserves behind cUSD are held in major stablecoins and tokenized money market funds.
Cap lends those reserves to institutional borrowers to earn yield, and each loan is guaranteed by restakers on networks such as EigenLayer, who cover losses if a borrower defaults. CAP holders vote on how the protocol is run and share in its incentives.
