ARPA (ARPA) is the token of the ARPA Network, a decentralized network that performs threshold cryptography, where a group of nodes jointly produce a signature without any single node holding the full key. The project began in 2018 with a focus on privacy-preserving computation.
Its main product is Randcast, a service that supplies verifiable random numbers to smart contracts, which is useful for games, lotteries and NFT minting. ARPA tokens are staked by node operators and used to pay for network services.
