AUSD is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Agora, a company co-founded by Nick van Eck of the asset manager VanEck. Each AUSD is backed one-to-one by cash, US Treasury bills and overnight repurchase agreements.
Agora's reserves are held by State Street, one of the world's largest custodian banks, and managed by VanEck. AUSD is built for institutions and businesses that want a dollar token they can integrate into payments, trading and lending, and it runs on Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche and other networks.
