About BOLD Stablecoin
BOLD (BOLD) is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Liquity V2, a decentralized borrowing protocol on Ethereum launched in 2025. Users create BOLD by borrowing against ETH, wstETH or rETH as collateral, and it can always be redeemed for one dollar's worth of collateral.
Unlike the earlier Liquity, borrowers set their own interest rates, and loans must keep a minimum collateral ratio. A Stability Pool funded with BOLD absorbs liquidations, and most of the interest paid by borrowers goes to BOLD depositors. BOLD is also available on Optimism and Base.
