About Hermez Network Token
Hermez Network (HEZ) is the token of Hermez, a zero-knowledge rollup on Ethereum focused on cheap and fast payments and token transfers. Hermez batches many transfers off-chain and posts a validity proof to Ethereum, reducing fees while relying on Ethereum's security.
In 2021 Hermez merged into Polygon, and its technology became the basis for Polygon zkEVM. HEZ holders were offered a swap into MATIC at a fixed rate, so HEZ is now a legacy token.
