About Global Dollar
Global Dollar (USDG) is a US dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos, a regulated blockchain infrastructure company. It is backed by cash and cash equivalents and can be redeemed one-to-one for US dollars at any time.
USDG is issued in Singapore under the supervision of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and in the European Union through a regulated Paxos entity in Finland, making it compliant with the EU's MiCA rules. It is supported by the Global Dollar Network, a group of companies in payments, trading and finance that share in the rewards from the reserves when they help grow its use.
The stablecoin is designed for payments, trading and settlement between businesses. Its strong regulatory focus makes it an option for companies that need a stablecoin with clear oversight in several jurisdictions.
