About Mezo USD
Mezo USD (MUSD) is a dollar stablecoin backed by bitcoin, issued through Mezo, a Bitcoin-focused network built by Thesis, the company behind tBTC. Users deposit BTC as collateral and borrow MUSD against it at fixed interest rates.
The system uses collateralized debt positions: each position must stay above a minimum collateral ratio, and those that fall below it are liquidated so that MUSD remains fully backed. MUSD can be redeemed for BTC, which helps keep it close to one dollar. It is available on Mezo and bridged to Ethereum and Base.
