About World Liberty Financial
World Liberty Financial (WLFI) is the governance token of World Liberty Financial, a crypto project launched in 2024 and associated with the family of US President Donald Trump. The project's aim is to promote the use of stablecoins and decentralized finance, with a focus on the US dollar.
World Liberty Financial issues USD1, a dollar-backed stablecoin that has grown into one of the larger stablecoins in the market. It has also made investments in other crypto tokens and partnered with exchanges and DeFi protocols. WLFI holders can vote on proposals that shape how the platform develops.
WLFI became tradable in 2025 after a period in which early token holdings were locked. Because of its political connections, the project has drawn a lot of public attention and regulatory questions.
