About Staked Frax USD
Frax Staked frxUSD (SFRXUSD) is the yield-bearing version of frxUSD, the dollar stablecoin of the Frax ecosystem. It follows the ERC-4626 vault standard: users deposit frxUSD and receive sfrxUSD, whose redemption value in frxUSD rises over time as yield is added, rather than the token balance changing.
The yield comes from strategies approved by Frax governance, which switch between options such as lending and carry trades, Frax's own market operations, and a benchmark tied to U.S. Treasury bill and Federal Reserve reserve rates. Holders can redeem sfrxUSD back to frxUSD at any time without an unstaking fee.
