About StarkNet Token
Starknet (STRK) is a layer-2 network that scales Ethereum using zero-knowledge proofs called STARKs. It bundles many transactions together, proves off-chain that they were processed correctly, and posts a compact proof to Ethereum, so users get lower fees while inheriting Ethereum's security.
Starknet was developed by StarkWare, and its apps are written in Cairo, a programming language built for generating proofs. It supports account abstraction natively, which makes smarter wallets possible. STRK pays transaction fees, is used for governance and can be staked as the network moves toward decentralized validation.
