About Graph Token
The Graph (GRT) is an indexing protocol that organizes blockchain data so applications can query it quickly. Reading data directly from a blockchain is slow and complex, so many DeFi apps, wallets and analytics tools use The Graph's open APIs, called subgraphs, to get the information they need.
The network launched in 2020 and runs on a decentralized group of participants. Indexers run nodes and serve queries in exchange for fees and rewards, delegators stake GRT with indexers, and curators signal which subgraphs are useful. GRT is used to pay for queries and to secure the network through staking.
