About CRO
Cronos (CRO) is the native token of the Cronos blockchain and is closely linked to Crypto.com, a large crypto exchange and payments company. CRO powers the Cronos ecosystem, which includes an EVM-compatible chain for DeFi and gaming and a separate chain based on the Cosmos SDK.
On Crypto.com, holding or staking CRO unlocks benefits such as higher card cashback, lower trading fees and better rates on earn products. On the Cronos chains, CRO is used for transaction fees and staking. The ecosystem also includes a zkEVM layer-2 network and a growing focus on AI agents and tokenized assets.
CRO's supply has changed several times through large token burns and decisions by the community, making it one of the more closely watched exchange-linked tokens.
