About SSV Token
SSV Network (SSV) is the token of SSV Network, a protocol for running Ethereum validators in a decentralized way. It uses distributed validator technology, which splits a validator's private key among several independent operators so no single operator holds the full key and the validator keeps working even if some operators go offline.
Stakers, staking pools and institutions can choose a set of operators to run their validators and pay them fees in SSV. Operators earn these fees for performing validator duties correctly. The SSV token is also used for governance of the SSV DAO. The project grew out of research supported by the Ethereum Foundation.
