About Request Token
Request (REQ) is the token of Request Network, a protocol for creating and paying invoices and payment requests on blockchains, launched in 2017 by Christophe Lassuyt and Etienne Tatur. A user creates a request stating who should be paid, how much and under what terms, shares it with the payer, and every step is recorded on-chain for accounting.
The protocol supports payments in many cryptocurrencies across Ethereum and other networks, and is used by apps for invoicing, payroll and accounts payable. REQ is used to pay network fees, and part of the tokens used for fees is burned, reducing the supply over time.
