About World Liberty Financial USD
USD1 is a US dollar stablecoin launched in 2025 by World Liberty Financial. It is designed to be redeemable one-to-one for dollars and is backed by short-term US government Treasuries, dollar deposits and cash equivalents. The reserves are held by BitGo, a regulated digital asset custodian.
USD1 is aimed at both institutions and everyday users who want a digital dollar for trading, payments and settlement. It is available on several networks, including Ethereum and BNB Chain, and grew quickly after launch as exchanges and DeFi platforms added support for it.
Like other fiat-backed stablecoins, USD1 depends on the issuer and custodian managing reserves properly, so reserve reports and regulatory oversight are the key things to watch.
