About Chainflip
Chainflip (FLIP) is the token of Chainflip, a decentralized protocol for swapping native assets between blockchains, such as bitcoin to ether, without wrapped tokens or traditional bridges. Its mainnet launched in late 2023.
Swaps are priced by a just-in-time automated market maker, and the funds are held in vaults controlled jointly by a set of validators using threshold signatures. Validators must stake FLIP to take part and earn FLIP rewards, and part of the fees from each swap is used to buy and burn FLIP.
