About Nillion
Nillion (NIL) is the token of Nillion, a privacy-focused network that lets data stay encrypted while it is stored and processed. Its tools include nilDB, an encrypted database where data is split across several nodes so that no single node can read it.
Nillion's newer focus is what it calls encrypted markets. With its Covenants feature, a user can seal a trading instruction on-chain so that it remains unreadable until a set condition is met, at which point a group of independent nodes unlocks and executes it. NIL is used to pay protocol fees, for staking by node operators and as rewards for nodes that monitor conditions and settle results.
