About Usual USD
Usual USD (USD0) is a dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by the Usual protocol. Each USD0 is backed one-to-one by real-world assets, mainly short-term US Treasury bills held through tokenized funds, rather than cash sitting in a commercial bank account.
Usual's pitch is that the income from those reserves should go back to the community rather than stay with the issuer. Users can lock USD0 into USD0++, a staked version that earns rewards in the USUAL governance token, and part of the protocol's revenue is shared with holders. This design helped the protocol grow quickly after its launch in 2024.
USD0 is used across DeFi on Ethereum and other networks, including in Curve and Pendle pools and as collateral in lending markets. Its risks include the smart contracts involved and the custody of the underlying tokenized Treasury products.

Always check the contract address before buying; copycat tokens often reuse the same name and ticker.
