About LQTY
Liquity (LQTY) is the secondary token of Liquity, a decentralized borrowing protocol on Ethereum launched in 2021. Liquity lets users lock ETH and borrow its stablecoin, LUSD, without ongoing interest, as long as their loans stay above a 110% collateral ratio.
LQTY holders can stake their tokens to earn the fees the protocol charges on borrowing and redemptions. LQTY was also used as a reward for users who deposited LUSD into the Stability Pool, which covers liquidated loans. A newer version of the protocol, Liquity V2, introduced the BOLD stablecoin.
