About Lido DAO Token
Lido DAO (LDO) is the governance token of Lido, the largest liquid staking protocol on Ethereum. Users deposit ETH with Lido and receive stETH, a token that represents their staked ether and grows with staking rewards, while staying free to trade or use in DeFi.
Lido pools deposits and distributes them across many professional node operators, taking a fee from staking rewards. LDO holders vote on decisions such as fees, node operator approval and treasury use. Because Lido controls a large share of staked ETH, its decentralization is a frequent subject of debate in the Ethereum community.
