About NYM
Nym (NYM) is the token of Nym, a privacy network led by Harry Halpin and backed by investors such as a16z. Nym runs a mixnet, a system that mixes and delays encrypted data packets so that observers cannot tell who is communicating with whom, protecting metadata that ordinary VPNs and encryption leave exposed.
Nym also offers NymVPN, a consumer privacy app. Node operators who route traffic are paid in NYM, and the token is used for staking to select reliable nodes and to pay for network services.
