About ApeCoin
ApeCoin (APE) is the token associated with the Bored Ape Yacht Club, the famous NFT collection created by Yuga Labs. It launched in 2022 and was airdropped to Bored Ape holders, and it is governed by the ApeCoin DAO.
APE is the gas token of ApeChain, a network built with Arbitrum technology to support the ape ecosystem, games and community projects. It is also used in Otherside, Yuga Labs' metaverse. In 2025 the community voted to restructure the DAO, moving its functions into a new company called ApeCo.
