Aegis YUSD (YUSD) is a stablecoin from Aegis that aims to keep a one-to-one value with the US dollar while paying yield. It is backed by Bitcoin held with custodians.
To keep the value stable, the protocol pairs its Bitcoin holdings with short positions in Bitcoin perpetual futures, a delta-neutral strategy in which gains and losses offset each other. Funding payments from these positions generate yield. YUSD is available on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Avalanche and carries custodian, exchange and strategy risks.
