About WAXP Token
WAX (WAXP) is the native token of the WAX blockchain, short for Worldwide Asset eXchange, founded by William Quigley and Jonathan Yantis and launched in 2019 after a 2017 token sale. Built on EOSIO technology, WAX was designed for trading digital collectibles, NFTs and game items, with fast blocks and no fees for end users.
The network uses delegated proof of stake, with holders voting for block producers called guilds. WAXP is staked to obtain network resources and to vote, and rewards guilds and voters. WAX has hosted NFT collections from brands and games, and its cloud wallet allows sign-in without managing private keys directly.
