About yearn.finance
yearn.finance (YFI) is the governance token of Yearn, a DeFi yield aggregator created by Andre Cronje in 2020. Yearn's vaults automatically move deposits between lending and liquidity strategies to earn the best available yield.
YFI became famous for its fair launch with no pre-mine and a supply of only about 30,000 tokens, which gave it a very high price per token. Holders vote on protocol decisions and can lock YFI for rewards.
