About Yield Basis
Yield Basis (YB) is the token of Yield Basis, a DeFi protocol founded by Curve Finance creator Michael Egorov. It lets users provide bitcoin as liquidity in automated market maker pools and earn trading fees while aiming to avoid impermanent loss, the value loss that usually happens to liquidity providers when prices move.
The protocol does this by using borrowed funds to keep liquidity positions leveraged in a way that tracks the price of BTC. The YB token is used for governance and to share protocol fees with those who lock it.
