About WorldMobileToken
World Mobile Token (WMTX) is the utility token of World Mobile, a project building a decentralized mobile network aimed at bringing affordable connectivity to underserved regions. It falls under DePIN, the category of blockchain projects that coordinate real-world physical infrastructure.
In World Mobile's model, independent operators run network nodes, such as AirNodes that provide wireless coverage, and earn WMTX for the service they deliver. Token holders can also stake WMTX to help secure the network and share in rewards. The token originally launched on Cardano and has since expanded to other chains including Solana, BNB Chain and Arbitrum.
