About Metaplex
Metaplex (MPLX) is the governance token of Metaplex, a set of protocols and tools for creating digital assets on Solana. Metaplex's token and NFT standards are used by a large share of the assets minted on Solana, from meme coins and project tokens to NFTs and tokenized real-world assets.
Beyond the developer standards, Metaplex runs apps for launching and trading tokens. The Metaplex DAO uses MPLX for governance, and half of protocol revenue is directed to buying back MPLX for the DAO.
