About CoW Protocol Token
CoW Protocol (COW) is the token of CoW Protocol, a trading system that protects users from MEV, the value bots extract by front-running trades. Instead of sending orders directly to a DEX, users sign intents that are batched and settled by competing solvers.
The name stands for Coincidence of Wants: when two users want opposite trades, CoW matches them directly without touching a liquidity pool. CoW Swap is its main interface. COW holders govern the CoW DAO and receive fee discounts.
