About ACU
Acurast (ACU) is a decentralized computing network that runs workloads on smartphones instead of data centers. People contribute phones as compute units, and developers deploy tasks such as APIs, webhooks, data processing and small AI models across this distributed pool.
The network relies on hardware security features built into modern phones so that work can run confidentially and its results can be verified. Device owners earn rewards for the compute they provide, while developers pay to use it. The ACU token is used for these payments and rewards and is available on several chains, including Ethereum, BNB Chain and Base.
