About PancakeSwap Token
PancakeSwap (CAKE) is the native token of PancakeSwap, the largest decentralized exchange on BNB Chain. Launched in 2020, PancakeSwap lets users swap tokens, provide liquidity to earn fees and take part in farming and other reward programs.
PancakeSwap has expanded to many other networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum and Base. It offers features such as concentrated liquidity, perpetual futures, a launchpad for new tokens and prediction games. It is known for its simple interface and low fees.
CAKE is used for governance, rewards and fee discounts across the platform. The project has worked to reduce CAKE's supply over time through regular burns funded by trading fees and other revenue, and it has set a lower maximum supply than it originally had.
