Beam (BEAM) is the token of Beam, a gaming-focused blockchain ecosystem originally developed by Merit Circle, a gaming DAO that rebranded to Beam in 2023. Beam runs on its own network built with Avalanche technology.
The ecosystem offers tools for game developers, such as a software kit, marketplace and player wallet, to make it easier to build blockchain games. BEAM is used to pay network fees and to take part in governance.
