About CTR
Citrea (CTR) is the token of Citrea, a layer-2 network for Bitcoin that uses zero-knowledge rollup technology. It is developed by Chainway Labs.
Citrea runs transactions off the main Bitcoin chain, then writes compact proofs and data back to Bitcoin so the results can be verified there. It is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, letting developers bring familiar smart contracts to Bitcoin. Its bridge is based on BitVM, an approach for verifying computation on Bitcoin. CTR is used within the network's ecosystem.
