What is Rug pull?
A scam where a token's creators drain its liquidity or dump their holdings, leaving buyers with tokens nobody will buy.
The classic version: a team launches a token, adds a pool on a DEX, promotes it hard, then withdraws the pool's paired asset (ETH, BNB, USDT). The price collapses to near zero in a single block.
Warning signs include liquidity that is not locked, one wallet holding a large share of supply, contracts that let the owner mint tokens or block selling, anonymous teams and pressure to buy fast. Read our guide on how to spot a rug pull.
