What is Impermanent loss?
The shortfall a liquidity provider suffers compared with simply holding the two tokens, when their prices move apart.
A pool rebalances automatically as traders swap, so a provider ends up holding more of the token that fell and less of the one that rose. The loss becomes permanent when the provider withdraws. Trading fees can offset it, but in volatile pairs they often do not.
