What is Blockchain?
A shared record of transactions, kept in sync by many independent computers, that is very hard to change after the fact.
Transactions are grouped into blocks, and each block references the one before it. Changing an old entry would mean redoing every block since, faster than the rest of the network, which is what makes the record trustworthy without a central authority.
