Notcoin (NOT) is a token on The Open Network (TON) that grew out of a tap-to-earn game inside Telegram. Players tapped a coin in a Telegram mini app to collect points, which were later converted into NOT tokens at launch in May 2024. The game attracted tens of millions of users and helped introduce many people to crypto wallets.
NOT is listed under meme and gaming categories and has limited formal utility. It is used in community activities and promotions in the TON ecosystem. Its value depends mostly on community interest, so it is speculative and volatile.
