About Ondo US Dollar Yield
Ondo US Dollar Yield (USDY) is a tokenized note issued by Ondo Finance and backed by short-term US Treasuries and bank deposits. It is designed for non-US individuals and institutions who want dollar-based yield on a blockchain.
Unlike regular stablecoins, which keep a fixed value of one dollar, USDY's price rises slowly over time as it earns interest from the underlying assets. Holders can transfer it, use it in DeFi apps and redeem it through Ondo, subject to eligibility and waiting periods.
USDY is available on several blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana and others. It is one of the larger tokenized Treasury products and is part of the wider move to bring traditional financial assets on-chain.
