About DEGEN
Degen (DEGEN) is a community token that launched on Base in early 2024 within the Farcaster social network. It began as a tipping token that users could send to reward posts in the Degen channel.
The ecosystem later grew to include Degen Chain, its own layer-3 network, along with other community apps and experiments. While DEGEN has some uses in tipping and its ecosystem, it is widely treated as a meme coin, and its price is speculative and volatile.
