About Pepe
Pepe (PEPE) is a memecoin launched on Ethereum in April 2023, inspired by the famous "Pepe the Frog" internet meme. It has no team roadmap, no utility promises and no tax on transactions, and it openly describes itself as a coin for entertainment only.
Despite that, PEPE became one of the most successful memecoins ever, reaching a multi-billion-dollar market value within weeks of launch and getting listed on almost every major exchange. Its popularity comes from internet culture, trader communities and the wider memecoin trend.
PEPE has a very large supply, in the hundreds of trillions of tokens, which is why its price has many zeros after the decimal point. Like other memecoins, it is highly speculative and its price can move sharply with market sentiment and social media attention.
